Standards Catalog - Create, Read, Update, and Delete (CRUD) Instructions
- Creating a New Standards Entry
- Click here for the Catalog Index
- Click “New” for the “CatalogUpdateFacade – Standards” component.
- Enter data for the following fields:
- Name (Required) – The name of the standard. The name must not be the same as a previously entered name.
- StandardsStatus (Required) – Select the status of the current standard. Standards status options can be updated from the StandardsStatus component.
- Acronym (Required) – An acronym for the standard. If the standard doesn’t have an acronym, enter the Name.
- Uri (Required) – Provide a web link to the standard. For example: http://www.someplace.com.
- Description (Required) – Provide some textual description of the standard.
- Assigning One or More Categories to the Standard
- Click here for the Catalog Index
- Click “New” for the “CatalogUpdateFacade – StandardsRelatedCategories” component.
- Enter data for the following fields:
- Standard (Required) – Select the name of the standard.
- Category (Required) – Select the name of the category to associate with the standard. Categories can be updated from the StandardsCategories component.
- Click the Save button
- Click the browser back button and repeat the previous steps to assign more categories to the standard.
- Assigning One or More Organizations to the Standard
- Click here for the Catalog Index
- Click “New” for the “CatalogUpdateFacade – StandardsRelatedOrganizations” component.
- Enter data for the following fields:
- Standard (Required) – Select the name of the standard.
- Organization (Required) – Select the name of the organization to associate with the standard. Organizations can be updated from the Organizations component.
- Click the Save button
- Click the browser back button and repeat the previous steps to assign more categories to the standard.
- Viewing, Updating, or Deleting a Standard

- Click “List” for the “CatalogUpdateFacade –
Standards” component
- Click any data element for the organization.
- Edit the data or click delete to delete the organization. Note: All Organization and Category associations to the standard must be deleted before the standard can be deleted.
